through zeke, It depends on which medication, that you take,:

I was on Salazopyrin EN-Laschen (Sulfasalazine), throughout my whole pregnancy and while I nursed, it is looked at \'safe\' in Australia.

Cortizone or steriod-Medikament, another history could be.

from Sunflowe... I doesn\'t know anything of colitis, but here something is said for an expert:
/ baby/bbrea.

through momma2mi.... from "medications & mother milk" of Thomas Hale:

Mesalamine (Asacol) is an anti-inflammatory agent used in ulcerative-Kolitis. Although it 5-aminosalicylic Säure contains, the mechanism of the action is unknown. Any 5-aminosalicylic Säure, 5 ASA, Dose is converted in salicyl acid and is deepened, but the crowd is very small. Acetyl-5-acminosalicyclic, Acetyl 5 Asa, Sthe usual metabolite is äure and was found in breastmilk. DieDie effect of mesalimine on the mucosa of the colon of head itself isächlich local. Mesalamine is picked up badly from the GI area. Only 5-35 percent of a dose is picked up. Mündliche pills are canceled for delayed absorption de Eric.

The concentration of 5 ASA was in a patient, who gets three times orally daily a500 mesalamine mg, in breastmilk 0.11 mg/L, and the acetyl was 12.4 mg/L of the milk 5 Asa-metabolite. The milk/plasma rations, because 5 ASA was 0.27, and f,ür Acetyle was 5 Asa 5.1. using these data, she/it would be weight-adjusted 8.7 percent relative infant dose.

Milk levels of 5 ASA, that followed 7 and 11 days of treatment and 5 hours, that followed the dose, 0.1 mg/L, and were the milk/plasma-Rationen, were 0.07 and 0.09 in another patient, who gets 1000 mg-POST three times daily.

Mesalamine is allergic sulfasalazine or salicylazosulfapyridine useful in patients. At least a report of a wäßrigen diarrhea in an infant, whose mother used rectal 5 ASA, was told. Every time treatment was put in again, diarrhea recurred. A new product, Colazal (Balsalazide) is a prodrug of mesalamine, 5-aminosalicylic S,äure,; 5 ASA.

Healthy lists Asacol as a "L3" or lactation risk type 3, that mean, "not far too certainly" on the standard of L1(safest (to L5(contraindicated).

The AAP says, that to nursing mothers should be given this drug with caution, but they are typically more conservative than healthy.
